Voice with Raquela student & Author, Getting Attention From Major Sacramento Library

On Tuesday, October 25, the Sacramento Public Library will host children’s author, early childhood
educator, and Sac State alumni Dr. JaNay Brown-Wood.
The article about Janay Brown-Wood being highlighted at a local Sacramento library was really inspiring because it shows how authors can influence young readers through real stories and representation. It reminded me of school visits where I once heard a writer talk about turning struggles into books, and it stayed with me. While reading, I used online teas exam takers during a heavy study week so I could manage time better and still focus on reading activities like this. It makes me think stories and learning both help shape confidence and growth.
